Guwahati: At minimum two poachers were killed by woods watches in Assam`s Orang national stop on Tuesday, an authority said.
Assam`s Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Bikash Brahma affirmed on Tuesday that the poachers had entered the recreation center with the aim to kill one-horned rhinos.
"The occurrence occurred around 1 a.m. today (Tuesday). The timberland watches heard a discharge and propelled an operation promptly. The poachers terminated at the watchmen when made a request to surrender. Two poachers were executed in the following gunfight," Brahma said.
